Château Weddings in the South of France
Documentary photography of real château weddings across Southwest France Occitanie, Dordogne, Bordeaux

Some of the most beautiful weddings I photograph happen behind the gates of a French château. Honey-coloured stone, long tables under the plane trees, a couple slipping away for a few quiet minutes before the celebration finds them again.
This is a collection of real château weddings across the South of France: from the vineyards near Bordeaux to the hills of the Dordogne and the villages of Occitanie. Most of the couples here travelled to marry in France, and I photographed the whole of their day.
Each photograph opens the full story of that wedding. If you are planning a château wedding in Southwest France, I hope these give you a feel for how I see them: warm, unhurried, and true to the people in them.

Eugenie was an absolute dream to work with! From day one, she went above and beyond, helping us plan the day (from across the world no less!), keeping the day running smoothly, and even recommending our fantastic caterer. She captured every special moment so beautifully, and thanks to her we will be able to relive our magical day every time we look at these photos. Beyond her incredible talent, she brought so much warmth, calm, and joy to our wedding day.

Planning a château wedding from abroad
Most of my couples plan their wedding from another country. I work with people travelling from the US, the UK, Ireland and across Europe, in English, over email and a call or two.
I help with the timing of the day, and often with the details around it, so that when it comes you can be in your wedding rather than running it.
Collections start at €1,500. I take a limited number of weddings each year.

Occitanie
The largest region I work in, from Toulouse across the Aude, the Tarn-et-Garonne and the Haute-Garonne, from medieval fortified estates to refined 17th-century properties.
Château de Saint-Martory · Château du Puits es Pratx · Château La Commanderie · Château Rieutort · Domaine de Merlac · Château Saint-Michel · Château de Goudourville · Château de Puydaniel · Domaine de Montcausson · Château de Pennautier · Domaine du T · Château de Loubéjac
Dordogne
A softer, greener corner of the southwest. Honey-stone manors above slow rivers and oak woodland, with the kind of evening light couples remember for years.
Bordeaux and wine country
Vineyard estates in the Gironde and along the Garonne, made for golden-hour portraits between the vines and a glass of something local at sunset.
Further afield
A few couples took me beyond the southwest, to a château that felt entirely their own. Wherever yours is, if it speaks to you it is worth the journey.
