DESTINATION ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER IN FRANCE

A calm, curated elopement experience in Southwest France

Just like my wedding work, my elopement approach is calm, structured and experience-led, adapted to a more intimate scale.

I do not simply photograph elopements. I curate them.

From the first conversation, I guide you through every step of the experience, ensuring that your elopement feels effortless, calm and beautifully organised. I  assist with:

  •  château or location selection
  • accommodation recommendations and bookings
  • trusted hair and makeup artists stylists and florists
  • celebrants for symbolic ceremonies

With a background in event planning, I understand how every element connects. My role is to give structure where needed, while leaving space for spontaneity and emotion. Some couples begin their wedding story with an engagement session in Toulouse or a surprise proposal during their visit to France.

Intimate elopement portrait of a couple in Southwest France

Why elope in Dordogne or Occitanie?

Southwest France offers a rare combination of history, nature and discretion. Here, centuries-old châteaux are surrounded by quiet countryside, rivers and stone villages, far from crowds and overexposed destinations.
It is a region chosen by couples who value authenticity, calm elegance and meaningful moments, rather than spectacle.
Eloping in Southwest France allows you to slow down, stay present and celebrate your commitment in a place that feels intimate, timeless and deeply personal.

For the couples with their own vision

If you already have your own elopement plans in South West France, I can also join you as your photographer with photography-only coverage. Whether you have chosen your venue, accommodation or suppliers independently, I adapt to your vision and timeline, guiding you gently where needed while allowing your day to unfold naturally.

Request your date

Things couples ask before reaching out

How far in advance should we book?

For peak season dates (late April through early October), six to twelve months in advance is typical. Some couples reach out a year and a half ahead for specific weekends at Mercuès or Bagen. Off-season dates (November through March) are easier to secure with two to four months notice.

What is included in your photography packages?

Each package includes the coverage hours stated, a private online gallery delivered within five weeks, a USB or download of full-resolution edited images, and worldwide print rights for personal use. Pre-wedding consultation and timeline coordination are included from the moment you book.

Can you help us choose vendors and plan logistics?

Yes. I have worked with a small circle of bilingual officiants, florists, hair and makeup artists, and planners across Southwest France. After booking, I share my direct introductions with no markup. For couples who already have their own planner, I coordinate directly with them.

Do we need to be in France for our wedding to be legal?

Not necessarily. Many couples I photograph sign their legal paperwork in their home country before or after, and have a symbolic ceremony at the château with a bilingual celebrant. A legally binding French civil ceremony requires forty days of residency for one partner and several months of paperwork. The symbolic-plus-home-legal path is faster and gives more freedom over the ceremony you write.

Do you travel beyond Southwest France?

Yes. My home region is between Toulouse and Bordeaux, but I photograph weddings across France and beyond when the day calls for it. Travel beyond a two-hour drive from Toulouse is quoted separately and includes accommodation. Recent work has taken me to Provence, the Riviera, the Alps, and Spain.

What happens if it rains?

Each of the three châteaux has an indoor ceremony option built in. Bagen has palace-style salons. Mercuès has a historic dining room. Cénevières has interior courtyards and salon rooms. I plan around weather with you in advance, and the day adjusts gracefully if conditions change.

How long until we receive our photos?

A private gallery preview reaches you within two weeks of the wedding. The full edited collection is delivered within five weeks. Couples receive their gallery via a private link with download rights and a six-month access window. Albums and prints are offered separately after delivery.
