A Château Elopement in France Without the Pressure of a Large Wedding

Planning an elopement abroad can feel overwhelming: choosing the right location, building a timeline, finding beautiful portrait spots and making the day feel effortless.

This France elopement package was created for couples who want a romantic château experience without organising a full wedding from scratch.

I guide you through the visual flow of the day — from the ceremony location and château portraits to the champagne moment, village walk and sunset photos — so your elopement feels relaxed, elegant and beautifully documented.

Important Note About the Ceremony Location

Château de Cénevières is used for the château portrait session and the visual part of the experience. At the moment, the wedding ceremony itself is not held directly on the Château de Cénevières property.

For the symbolic ceremony and vows, we usually plan the moment at one of the nearby château locations, such as Château de Belmont-Sainte-Foi or Château de Mercuès, depending on availability and the final vision for your day.

I can also recommend a trusted English-speaking officiant who is experienced with intimate elopements and symbolic ceremonies in France. This allows you to enjoy both parts of the experience: a meaningful ceremony setting and the iconic Château de Cénevières portraits as part of the same elopement day.

Château de Cénevières in the Lot Valley in Southwest France

Château de Cénevières

Château de Cénevières is located in the Lot department, in Southwest France, above the Lot River valley.

This part of Occitanie is known for medieval villages, dramatic landscapes, quiet countryside roads and historic architecture.

For international couples, Toulouse-Blagnac Airport is usually the most convenient arrival point, followed by a scenic drive into the Lot Valley.

Bordeaux Airport can also be an option, especially if you plan to combine your elopement with a longer trip through Southwest France.

This location is perfect for couples who want a French château elopement away from the more crowded wedding destinations such as Paris, Provence or the French Riviera.

Can We Legally Get Married in France?

This package is designed for a symbolic elopement ceremony and photography experience in France.

Most international couples complete the legal paperwork in their home country before or after the trip, then exchange vows and celebrate their symbolic ceremony in France.

This makes the day simpler, more relaxed and fully focused on the experience. If you would like your symbolic ceremony to be led by someone, I can recommend a trusted English-speaking officiant who is experienced with intimate elopements in France.

My role is not only to take beautiful photographs, but also to help you feel comfortable, understand the rhythm of the day and make the most of each location.

For this Château de Cénevières elopement experience, I guide you through the visual story of the day: where to stand, when the light is best, how to move between locations and how to create photographs that feel elegant, natural and emotionally true to you. I can also recommend trusted local vendors, including an English-speaking officiant.
