Documentary wedding photography.
Real château weddings · Occitanie · Lot Valley · Dordogne · Bordeaux

Most of the couples I photograph travel from the UK, Ireland, the US or Canada — drawn to the quieter corners of France, where one château hosts one wedding at a time. I photograph the day as it unfolds: the unscripted glances, the slow afternoons, the laughter you’d otherwise forget.
See a wedding you’d like yours to feel like? Let’s talk.

Eugenie was an absolute dream to work with! From day one, she went above and beyond — helping us plan the day (from across the world no less!), keeping the day running smoothly, and even recommending our fantastic caterer. She captured every special moment so beautifully, and thanks to her we will be able to relive our magical day every time we look at these photos. Beyond her incredible talent, she brought so much warmth, calm, and joy to our wedding day.
Katie & William, Château Bagen, 2025
For couples who want their wedding day to feel like the day itself — not a series of staged photographs. Documentary coverage, gentle direction for portraits, careful editing. That’s the shape of what I do, and the work above shows where I’ve done it across Southwest France.
Château weddings across four regions of Southwest France
Each region of the southwest has its own character, and the châteaux that host weddings here vary just as much. Below is a short note on the four areas where I work most often — click through to see real weddings in each.

Occitanie
The largest region I work in — stretching from Toulouse across Aude, Tarn-et-Garonne and the Haute-Garonne. Châteaux here range frommedieval fortified estates to refined 17th-century properties. Mostinternational couples choose Occitanie for its accessibility fromToulouse airport and the variety of venue styles. Real weddings in Occitanie:
Château La Commanderie · Château du Puits Es Pratx · Château Bagen · Domaine de Merlac · Château de Goudourville · Château de Loubéjac
Lot Valley
A quieter corner of France along the Lot river — known for clifftopchâteaux (Cénevières, Mercuès), small medieval villages, and thelimestone landscapes of the Causses du Quercy. Particularly well-suitedfor intimate weddings and elopements of 2 to 60 guests, often withexclusive use of the venue for the full weekend. Real wedding in Lot Valley: Wedding at Château de Cénevières.
Dordogne
The rural heart of Périgord — rolling hills, vineyards, and ancientvillages. Venues here suit couples who want a slower, countryside-rooted celebration with a strong sense of place. Particularly popular with UK couples for the direct flights to Bordeaux and the familiar landscape. Real weddings in Dordogne:
“Wedding at Château Lagut” “Wedding at Château d’Oche” “Wedding at Château de la Borderie”
Bordeaux & wine country
Vineyard châteaux and estate venues in Gironde and along the Garonne. These work beautifully for couples who want a wine-country wedding with extended celebration, often combining a welcome dinner at one estate and the wedding day at another. Real wedding in Bordeaux: “Wedding at Château Sentout”
Tell me about your day
If the work here feels close to how you imagine your wedding
day, I’d love to hear from you. Tell me a little about your
day — venue if you have one, date if it’s set, anything that
matters.
I read every message myself.
